Description

  • Serve as a team member on customer projects covering design, architecture, integration, implementation, and documentation.
  • Conduct research, benchmarking, performance testing, functional testing, sizing, migration, integration, development, and tooling work.
  • Provide consultative support to strategic users, customers, and prospects for implementation, onboarding, production launches, and POCs.
  • Deliver architectural, technical, and migration assistance, including hands-on troubleshooting and execution.
  • Handle L1 to L3 support cases and customer communications when not assigned to larger projects.
  • Partner with Product Management, Engineering, and Sales on product roadmap input and account plans.
  • Develop public and internal documentation, knowledge base articles, learning materials, reference architectures, blogs, and benchmark results.
  • Assist with hiring and mentoring new team members as the team scales.
  • Participate in scheduling and on-call coverage to support 24x7 global operations.
  • Support onsite regional travel of up to 35% when needed.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Professional Services, Support, Technical Accounts Management, Engineering/SRE, or Project Management roles.
  • 5+ years of experience implementing, operating, or supporting scalable, fault-tolerant distributed database management systems.
  • Broad and deep technical knowledge of DBMS, OLAP, Cloud/SaaS platforms, distributed systems, Linux/Unix, Kubernetes, system or network administration, and big data.
  • Experience leading and shipping large-scope technical projects with multiple experienced engineers.
  • Experience with a public cloud provider such as AWS, GCP, or Azure and infrastructure-as-a-service offerings like EC2.
  • Bonus: experience with ClickHouse.
  • Bonus: experience with OSS and open-source technologies as a user, community member, or contributor.
  • Bonus: experience with data pipelines such as Kafka, Kinesis, Spark, RabbitMQ, or similar tools.
  • Strong communication skills and comfort in a customer-facing role.
  • Self-driven mindset with curiosity and a willingness to learn and grow.
