Description

  • Architect, provision, and maintain highly available and secure services in AWS.
  • Lead internal and customer-facing service implementation and support, including infrastructure and platform operations.
  • Manage VPC networking, storage, and container orchestration in EKS.
  • Build and maintain infrastructure-as-code and automation using Terraform and related orchestration tools.
  • Improve CI/CD pipelines by adding security scanning, vulnerability management, and deployment guardrails.
  • Monitor logs and systems for anomalous behavior and operational issues.
  • Manage access to IT assets through IAM and support security-focused access controls.
  • Participate in the primary on-call rotation and troubleshoot complex production incidents.
  • Partner with product development teams to provide operational support and maintain fast, secure deployment paths.
  • Document solutions, evaluate new AWS services, and mentor cross-functional team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or comparable IT experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in systems administration or platform engineering, including at least 4 years focused on AWS.
  • Proven experience building and maintaining scalable Linux systems and virtualization technologies in AWS.
  • Deep proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation in multi-account environments.
  • Hands-on experience with production Kubernetes/EKS deployments and container security.
  • Working familiarity with provisioning, orchestration, and continuous delivery.
  • Proficiency with Git and at least one scripting language: Python, BASH, or Go.
  • Thorough knowledge of DNS, Internet protocols, web servers such as Nginx or Apache, and load balancing technologies like ALB/NLB.
  • Experience integrating security standards and tools into the DevOps lifecycle, with familiarity with PCI and IT security frameworks.
  • Self-directed, proactive, and action-oriented with strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lead technical projects, influence stakeholders, and mentor junior team members.
  • Preferred: advanced experience with AWS services such as EKS, EC2, CloudWatch, S3, IAM, Route53, SNS, SQS, WAF, and CloudFront.
  • Preferred: experience with Amazon RDS, MySQL, and DynamoDB.
  • Preferred: experience integrating security tools such as GuardDuty, Security Hub, KMS, Snyk, Checkov, and Trivy into build processes.
  • Preferred: experience with GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, ArgoRollout, and Atlantis.
  • Preferred: experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible or Salt.
  • Preferred: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional.
  • Must be located in or willing to relocate to one of the approved U.S. states, or be open to hybrid/in-office work in Boise, Idaho.
