Description

  • Lead ClassWallet’s legislative agenda in up to 12 assigned states and monitor legislative activity in up to 25 states.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with legislators, governors’ offices, policy influencers, and state agency staff.
  • Manage lobbyists in assigned states and guide their work to support company priorities.
  • Build relationships with education and workforce committee members, policy advisors, and legislative liaisons.
  • Draft bill proposals and amendments to advance ClassWallet’s policy objectives.
  • Identify and track legislation that may affect current client programs or create new sales opportunities.
  • Communicate legislative updates and policy developments to leadership and the sales team.
  • Engage with local, state, and national advocacy groups to support shared priorities.
  • Represent ClassWallet at conferences and events.
  • Support the sales team with the development of RFP responses.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of government relations experience.
  • Ability to travel 50% or more.
  • Experience in school choice policy.
  • Experience working with Education Committees is preferred.
  • Experience managing lobbyists is preferred.
  • Experience influencing legislation is preferred.
