Description

  • Facilitate delivery and deployment of operational capabilities.
  • Participate in architectural discussions and lead the design of Kubernetes-based GitOps deployments.
  • Lead the design and implementation of pipelines with Break-Build SATS and DAST.
  • Ensure OCI hardening across the container image lifecycle.
  • Manage chain-of-custody and provenance for container signatures.
  • Write thoughtful design documents for new initiatives.
  • Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure solutions.
  • Build and integrate automated testing into the product codebase.
  • Mentor junior engineers and coordinate work across cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • Able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET security clearance; only US citizens are eligible for security clearances.
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or four years of hands-on experience in a full-time software engineering or similar role.
  • Experience collaborating as part of a team while executing independently.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-trust, adaptable team environment.
  • Proficiency with Open Policy Agent management.
  • Experience with CNCF technologies such as Envoy, Spinnaker, Istio, Keycloak, and MinIO.
  • Proficiency in CNCF container networking ingress and egress.
  • Proficiency with CI/CD pipeline-based GitOps deployments.
  • Proficiency with Kubernetes cluster lifecycle management, including deployment, troubleshooting, and scaling.
  • Proficiency with container orchestration using Kubernetes.
  • Experience deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters on Azure and AWS.
  • Proficiency with containerization technologies such as Docker and Podman.
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, and Crossplane.
  • Proficiency in Linux-based development environments such as Ubuntu and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
  • Experience implementing DevOps practices and tools such as CI/CD, IaC, and GitOps in production workflows.
  • Experience providing daily guidance and oversight to other engineers.
  • Experience contributing to or leading the design of new capabilities.
  • Experience leading communications with customers and end users.
  • Experience troubleshooting network connectivity issues.
  • Experience with version control repositories such as GitLab.
  • Current Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility (preferred).
  • Familiarity with operations in the cyberspace domain (preferred).
  • Experience designing and implementing solutions on Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (preferred).
  • Familiarity with the Scaled Agile Framework (preferred).
  • Experience writing automated tests, including unit, acceptance, and system/integration tests (preferred).
  • Expertise in Cluster API and multi-Kubernetes cluster management using Liqo.io (preferred).
  • Experience using Crossplane for Hyper Converged Infrastructure (preferred).
  • Proficiency in security as code, such as OSCAL (preferred).
  • Proficiency in software bill of materials and software supply chain management for code attestation (preferred).
  • Experience writing code in Python, Go, or Rust (preferred).
