Description

  • Design, build, and oversee data architecture, technology solutions, and software for structured and unstructured data.
  • Develop conceptual designs, database schemas, taxonomies, data storage plans, capacity plans, interface specifications, loading plans, maintenance plans, and security policies for the data pipeline.
  • Lead technical requirements gathering and ensure consistency across the company’s data architecture.
  • Build processes to channel data from multiple inputs and store it across cloud, local, and other database systems.
  • Develop tools and programming to cleanse, organize, transform, and maintain data structures and integrity automatically.
  • Create design standards and assurance processes to ensure compatibility and operability of data connections, flows, and storage requirements.
  • Review internal and external business and product requirements and recommend system or storage changes to support evolving needs.
  • Develop secure, high-quality production code and review or debug code written by others.
  • Oversee live SaaS operations, monitor KPIs, and support reliability, availability, and performance goals.
  • Implement multi-tenant systems with a focus on isolation and security.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Strong programming skills in Python or Java.
  • Expertise in data architecture and business intelligence systems, including ELT development, data transformation, data modeling, report design, and BI dashboard development.
  • Strong relational database skills, including database design, scalability, SQL, querying, and extracting data.
  • Understanding of ETL, data structures, metadata, and workflow management concepts.
  • B.S. in computer science, engineering, or a related degree.
  • Experience working in Agile software development environments such as Scrum or Kanban.
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment with enterprise-class software releases and SaaS product life cycles.
  • Experience with bug tracking tools such as JIRA.
  • Ability to work in a primarily remote role with occasional travel.
  • Preferred: experience working in AWS.
  • Preferred: experience in healthcare.
  • Preferred: familiarity with HIPAA, SOC, and HITRUST requirements.
  • Preferred: passion for Agile methodology.
