Description

  • Own annual advertising and sponsorship revenue across City Cast’s multi-platform network and deliver against ambitious revenue goals.
  • Run the sales process end-to-end, including prospecting, pipeline management, deal review, pricing, negotiation, renewal, and handoff.
  • Lead strategic business development by leveraging an active network of advertiser and agency relationships and personally closing priority deals.
  • Partner with the Chief Commercial Officer to translate strategy into execution across local, regional, and national sales motions.
  • Coach, mentor, and manage the distributed sales team, setting clear expectations and building a high-performance culture.
  • Own forecasting, budgeting, weekly pacing, monthly and quarterly forecasts, and overall pipeline health.
  • Refine the sales playbook, including packaging, pricing, pitch narrative, and collateral.
  • Collaborate with client success, ad ops, and marketing to improve and maximize product offerings.
  • Manage executive-level relationships with priority advertisers, holding companies, and agency partners, and serve as the escalation point for top accounts.
  • Track competitive activity and category trends, maintain CRM discipline, and oversee sales tooling and responsible AI adoption.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of digital media sales experience with a proven track record of revenue growth.
  • 5+ years of sales management experience, including managing remote teams across multiple geographies.
  • Experience with multi-market or network sales, including regional and multi-market deal structures.
  • Experience selling audio, podcast, and/or video products, including host-read and integrated sponsorship, programmatic and direct-sold inventory, and attribution.
  • Demonstrated success operationalizing go-to-market strategies into sales motions, playbooks, packaging, pricing, and pitch materials.
  • Strong storytelling ability and the capacity to sell through narrative as well as numbers.
  • Strong forecasting and budgeting discipline, with deep CRM and sales operations fluency.
  • Active use of AI tools in sales work, including prospecting, research, pitch prep, and deal coaching.
  • Proven ability to develop and promote top talent.
  • An active network of advertiser, brand, and agency relationships that can be used to drive revenue quickly.
  • Entrepreneurial, accountable, and results-driven mindset suited to a fast-moving environment.
  • Ability and willingness to travel about 20% of the time.

Benefits

  • Starting base salary of $140,000–$160,000, depending on location, experience, and skills.
