Description

  • Design and execute test plans and cases for the integration and middleware layer.
  • Perform API-level functional, integration, and regression testing.
  • Validate synchronous and asynchronous event-driven flows, including error handling, retries, and dead-letter scenarios.
  • Translate documented business flows into test scenarios in collaboration with the Business Analyst.
  • Log, track, and verify defect resolution across Development, QA, UAT, and Production environments.
  • Support automation of API test suites where applicable.
  • Validate authentication, authorization, and data-segregation behavior.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of QA experience focused on API/backend testing and independent test-strategy ownership.
  • Experience testing REST APIs with Postman or equivalent tools.
  • Experience writing and maintaining structured test cases and test plans.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and GitLab CI or equivalent workflows.
  • Experience in mortgage, lending, or financial services.
  • B2+ English communication skills for daily collaboration with a US-based team.
  • Experience with automated API test frameworks (preferred).
  • Experience testing event-driven or asynchronous systems such as message queues and notifications (preferred).
  • Familiarity with OWASP-related security testing practices (preferred).
