Description

  • Engage with business stakeholders to understand context, challenges, and underlying needs, and translate them into clear technical specifications.
  • Own the full lifecycle of data products from ingestion through modeling, transformation, validation, delivery, and monitoring.
  • Implement validation processes, automated testing, and data quality checks to ensure accuracy and integrity.
  • Design and implement data modeling and transformation layers that pre-aggregate business information and apply consistent business rules.
  • Collaborate with AI teams to prepare structured data, data dictionaries, and models for AI and intelligent reporting use cases.
  • Build and maintain data ingestion pipelines from multiple sources and implement transformations in SQL and Python.
  • Identify improvement opportunities proactively, challenge assumptions when needed, and propose innovative solutions.
  • Deliver reliable data solutions with speed while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences and document modeling and architecture decisions.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a senior Data Engineering or Analytics Engineering role.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python for data analysis, transformation, and validation.
  • Solid experience in data modeling and data warehouse design.
  • Hands-on experience with BigQuery or another cloud-based data warehouse platform.
  • Ability to understand complex business logic and validate results from a business perspective.
  • Strong ownership mindset with a proactive approach to proposing improvements and challenging requirements when necessary.
  • Experience specifying and preparing data requirements for AI or machine learning applications.
  • Advanced or fluent English for reading, writing, and conversation.
  • Track record of delivering high-impact projects quickly and with quality.
  • Experience with dbt for transformation and orchestration of analytical pipelines is preferred.
  • Familiarity with data ingestion tools such as Airbyte or Airflow is preferred.
  • Knowledge of automated testing best practices and CI/CD for data pipelines is preferred.
  • Prior experience in Supply Chain, Retail, or Consumer Goods industries is preferred.
  • Experience preparing data for generative AI or conversational analytics platforms is preferred.
  • Experience building business-oriented analytical reports or custom visualizations is preferred.
