Description

  • Develop and maintain distributed backend applications for a large-scale content platform.
  • Work closely with routing and infrastructure teams to support optimal user experience during traffic spikes.
  • Build and operate systems with a strong focus on availability, latency, resilience, and throughput.
  • Collaborate in a DevOps culture across development and operations activities.
  • Support observability and performance monitoring across production systems.
  • Contribute to infrastructure automation and infrastructure-as-code practices.
  • Work with containers and orchestration platforms in the platform environment.
  • Participate in troubleshooting, debugging, and optimization of system and network behavior.

Requirements

  • Experience developing distributed and scalable backend applications.
  • Experience with Go, Python, or Ruby.
  • Hands-on experience with DevOps culture and collaboration between development and operations.
  • Experience with Docker containers and Kubernetes orchestration.
  • Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, New Relic, or Datadog.
  • Knowledge of computer networks and high-scale systems, including latency, throughput, contention, and network congestion.
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code, such as Terraform.
  • Experience with web servers or reverse proxies such as Nginx or Apache (preferred).
  • Familiarity with debugging and optimization tools for embedded systems (preferred).
  • Experience operating or using CDN solutions, including security concepts such as WAF and authentication tokens (preferred).
  • Knowledge of Lua or other embedded languages (preferred).
  • Knowledge of Unix and operating system concepts such as terminal usage, sysctl, perf, top/htop, user space vs. kernel space, and interrupts (preferred).
  • If residing in the Campinas metropolitan region, in-office presence in Campinas is mandatory according to the current attendance policy.
