Description

  • Build strong relationships with customers through ongoing communication to meet day-to-day and long-term needs.
  • Manage customer expectations and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Work with the implementation team to support successful opportunities and pricing accuracy.
  • Participate in rate matrix reviews to maintain profitability and competitiveness for key accounts.
  • Take part in rate calculations, report preparation, and customer presentations for large-spend bids.
  • Ensure customer commitments are met by coordinating with internal teams and completing operational tasks as needed.
  • Identify, manage, and develop new business relationships in the target market.
  • Support the Customer Service Manager in delivering optimal transportation service solutions.
  • Maintain a database of clients, prospects, partners, and vendors.
  • Monitor market conditions, product innovations, and competitor pricing and sales activity.
  • Prepare sales budgets, reports, sales records, and expense account filings.
  • Consult with clients to resolve problems and provide ongoing support.
  • Coordinate prospect, sales, and current customer meetings with the VP of Sales/CS.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of account management experience in the transportation and logistics field is an asset.
  • A recent college or university degree in Sales & Marketing or a business-related field is required.
  • 3+ years of sales and account management experience in the transportation and logistics field is preferred.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on both internal and external customers.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
  • Ability to function effectively in a team environment.
