Description

  • Own customer platform features end to end, from design and implementation through rollout and iteration.
  • Design, build, and evolve backend services and APIs for entitlements, policy, and customer onboarding.
  • Serve as the primary technical interface with other engineering teams to define requirements and integration paths.
  • Extend Chainguard’s agentic AI foundation into customer-facing product experiences.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to senior and mid-level engineers.
  • Help the team break down ambiguity and drive clear outcomes.
  • Contribute to a product-driven roadmap with deadlines and iterative delivery.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Management and partner engineering teams on feature delivery.

Requirements

  • Production experience with Go.
  • Strong ownership of API design and backend systems at scale, including shipping and operating them in production.
  • Experience working across multiple engineering teams on technical standards, integration patterns, and shared infrastructure.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and proposing diagnoses, recommendations, and paths forward.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and provide technical guidance without a management title.
  • Familiarity with cloud-native environments such as Kubernetes and cloud provider APIs is a strong plus.
  • Experience with entitlements, billing systems, or platform infrastructure is a plus.
  • Prior exposure to building or extending AI-powered product features is a plus.
  • Location: remote in the US, UK, or Canada.
