Description

  • Develop a deep understanding of customer business drivers and decision-making motivations.
  • Translate technology solutions into measurable customer business outcomes.
  • Partner with account managers, specialists, and channel partners to drive revenue growth and new business.
  • Present technical product and architecture solutions to customers and prospects.
  • Capture customer requirements and turn them into innovative solution proposals.
  • Lead evaluations, benchmarks, and system configurations.
  • Write responses to RFI, RFP, and RFQ requests.
  • Support interoperability, functional, and performance testing and validation.
  • Collaborate with product and technical marketing on whitepapers and web presentations.
  • Stay current on the competitive landscape and update positioning materials accordingly.

Requirements

  • Pre-sales experience is required.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in technology, design, and communications.
  • Experience supporting sales of enterprise storage, networking, systems, cloud, or software to enterprise accounts preferred.
  • Deep understanding of multi-tiered client/server and web-based computing solution architecture, design, and implementation.
  • Experience selling into DoD or federal civilian accounts preferred.
  • Familiarity with modern web architecture, including LAMP stack, scale-out vs. scale-up architectures, AWS Well-Architected Framework, and microservices architecture.
  • Experience targeting new prospects and converting them into clients.
  • Strong knowledge of current and emerging storage architectures, including FC, iSCSI, NAS, OSD, and SAN.
  • Experience with Linux, NFS file systems, and Linux distributed network environments.
  • Knowledge of VMware, LAN, Ethernet, TCP/IP, and general networking.
  • Experience with cloud-native transformation, on-prem, public cloud, provisioning automation, and containers.
  • Familiarity with AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, and microservices architectures preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with storage-intensive applications such as SQL and Oracle is highly desirable.
