Description

  • Provide vision, mentorship, and strategic leadership for an engineering team building and maintaining secure open source libraries at scale.
  • Guide technical direction and product strategy across language ecosystems, dependency management, security hardening, tooling, automation, and services.
  • Set and oversee policies, quality standards, and continuous improvement for security, performance, stability, and customer value.
  • Own comparator gates, LLM-based judge rubrics, language-specific build systems, and AI automation.
  • Improve build and testing infrastructure for reproducible, auditable, and trusted library releases.
  • Drive vulnerability detection, patching, SBOM generation, and provenance generation across library ecosystems.
  • Partner with engineering and product teams to ensure interoperability and a consistent security posture.
  • Represent Chainguard Libraries externally with partners, community maintainers, and adoption efforts.

Requirements

  • Proven experience managing and scaling technical teams.
  • Experience building or maintaining platforms at scale.
  • Experience managing teams that ship agentic AI in production.
  • Experience designing evaluation suites and LLM-judge rubrics for agentic tools.
  • Strong grasp of language ecosystems such as Python, Go, Java, JavaScript, or .NET.
  • Experience with build systems, dependency management, release management, and vulnerability management.
  • Experience leading teams working with Docker, Kubernetes, GCP, AWS, and Terraform.
  • Growth-minded approach with the ability to align technical work with broader business objectives.
  • Experience curating the knowledge that steers agents, such as skills, prompts, and fixtures, is preferred.
