Description

  • Develop a business plan for sourcing polymer products, including procurement, revenue, and expense controls.
  • Identify, develop, and manage new suppliers to maximize sourcing volume and strengthen business relationships.
  • Maintain and report sourcing and procurement information accurately and on time.
  • Analyze suppliers' end markets and procurement strategies.
  • Communicate continuously with internal counterparts in other countries to resolve issues and improve efficiency.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences and company meetings to expand its presence in the polymer business.
  • Convert sourcing strategies into tangible business results.
  • Prospect potential clients and suppliers to create new opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year accredited school preferred.
  • 5 years of domestic sourcing and exporting experience in the polymer industry required.
  • Proven experience exporting U.S.-sourced products to Europe, Latin America, and Asia.
  • Sourcing experience at a chemical distribution company preferred.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally for business trips.
  • Ability to create new opportunities and turn sourcing strategies into measurable results.
  • Resourcefulness and persistence in prospecting potential clients and suppliers.
  • Excellent communication skills.
