Description

  • Source polymers including PE, PP, and PVC by developing a business plan that covers procurement, revenue, and expense controls.
  • Develop new suppliers and maximize sourcing volume while strengthening business relationships.
  • Maintain and report sourcing and procurement information in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Understand suppliers' end markets and procurement strategies.
  • Communicate continuously with internal counterparts in other countries to ensure timely and accurate solutions that improve efficiency.
  • Increase the company’s presence in the polymer business by attending industry conferences and company meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year accredited school preferred.
  • 5 years of domestic sourcing and exporting experience in the polymer industry required.
  • Proven experience exporting US locally sourced products to Europe, Latin America, Asia, and other regions.
  • Sourcing experience at chemical distribution companies preferred.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally for business trips.
  • Ability to create new opportunities and convert sourcing strategies into tangible results.
  • Resourcefulness and persistence in prospecting potential clients and suppliers.
  • Excellent communication skills.
