Description

  • Define and evolve the technical architecture for Caseware’s AI platform across multiple teams.
  • Design, build, and operate AI systems powered by LLMs, retrieval pipelines, agentic workflows, and AI-enabled services.
  • Develop multi-agent systems, agent execution runtimes, workflow orchestration, memory management, and human-in-the-loop capabilities.
  • Design and implement evaluation, governance, auditability, and traceability frameworks for AI systems.
  • Evaluate emerging AI technologies, models, frameworks, and cloud capabilities.
  • Drive reliability, observability, monitoring, alerting, and incident response practices across AI systems.
  • Ensure systems are resilient, scalable, cost-effective, and operationally efficient in production.
  • Partner with Product, QA, Security, Domain SMEs, and Engineering teams to deliver business value.
  • Mentor and influence teams through collaboration, shared ownership, and architectural guidance.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with demonstrated impact beyond a single team.
  • 2+ years building and operating production AI systems.
  • Experience designing distributed, SaaS, cloud-native, multi-tenant platforms at scale.
  • Experience implementing AI guardrails, governance controls, and safety mechanisms.
  • Strong understanding of AI tradeoffs, including latency, cost, accuracy, reliability, and scalability.
  • Experience building and operating production systems on AWS.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code using CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform.
  • Experience mentoring engineers and influencing architectural decisions across teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong English communication and collaboration skills.
  • Comfortable working in fast-moving environments with ambiguity and evolving requirements.
  • Experience operating systems in regulated or compliance-heavy domains, preferred.
  • Familiarity with accounting, auditing, or financial workflows, preferred.
  • Experience with TypeScript, NestJS, Python, AWS EKS, AWS Lambda, AWS Bedrock, AWS AgentCore, AWS OpenSearch Serverless, AWS S3 Vectors, AWS Textract, DynamoDB, S3, LangFuse, LangSmith, Claude Code, Devin, GitHub Copilot, GitHub Actions, Nx Monorepo, Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Teams, and Outlook.
