Description

Contribute to the design and evolution of the Agentic AI platform, including scalable architecture, core components, tooling, automation, coding standards, and platform reliability.
Architect, deliver, and optimize production-grade LLM services, agent workflows, orchestration layers, retrieval pipelines, and vector search technologies.
Provide technical leadership through architecture and design reviews, mentorship, and guidance on engineering quality and technical decisions.
Develop high-performance Python APIs and scalable backend services using FastAPI, asyncio, and modern software engineering practices.
Build and maintain the AI platform foundation for secure, observable, resilient, production-ready AI workloads.
Design and implement AI governance capabilities, including guardrails, policy enforcement, model lifecycle management, responsible AI practices, and compliance controls.
Develop automated testing and evaluation strategies for AI-enabled applications, including prompt evaluation, model evaluation, regression testing, integration testing, and QA.
Implement observability, monitoring, logging, telemetry, performance metrics, and resilience strategies for LLM systems.
Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation for AI services.
Collaborate with Product, UX, Infrastructure, Security, clients, and other stakeholders to improve platform capabilities and communicate technical concepts clearly.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
8–10+ years of professional software engineering experience building enterprise software platforms.
Experience leading architecture and design for complex production platforms and mentoring engineers.
Hands-on experience designing agent orchestration and LLM workflows; familiarity with LangGraph, LangChain, CrewAI, or Strands is useful but not required.
Expert-level Python experience, including asyncio, FastAPI, Pydantic, type hinting, and modern development practices.
Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js for production platform services, APIs, and SDKs.
Proven experience implementing retrieval architectures and operating vector databases, lexical search, and semantic search systems.
Strong experience designing distributed architectures for LLM-based applications.
Experience with self-hosted and edge model deployment using vLLM, Ollama, or llama.cpp, routing through LiteLLM, and autoscaling inference on Kubernetes such as Karpenter.
Experience deploying applications with Docker and cloud-native services in AWS or Azure.
Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar platforms, plus Kubernetes and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Helm.
Familiarity with AI governance, model lifecycle management, prompt engineering, and responsible AI principles.
Experience with LLM observability, monitoring, evaluation frameworks, and production telemetry.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create technical documentation and communicate with technical and executive stakeholders.
Eligibility to obtain a Secret or Top Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.
Preferred: experience building enterprise-scale Agentic AI platforms.
Preferred: experience implementing automated prompt evaluation, model evaluation, and AI quality assurance frameworks.
Preferred: experience developing AI guardrails, policy engines, and secure AI deployment patterns.
Preferred: experience with PostgreSQL performance tuning, asyncpg, indexing, and query optimization.
Preferred: experience building event-driven or distributed systems using microservices architectures.
Preferred: experience supporting National Security or Federal Civilian customers.
