Description

  • Deliver exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Take incoming calls and emails regarding CCTV, access control, and alarm monitoring issues and requests.
  • Communicate with remote users by phone, email, or video to troubleshoot problems using remote connectivity tools.
  • Review escalated Help Desk tickets, diagnose issues, gather information, identify solutions, and assign tasks to other resources as needed.
  • Own the configuration process for CCTV, access control, and alarm monitoring systems for new buildings and installations.
  • Log technical issues in Jira with appropriate detail.
  • Document process standards, naming standards, how-to guides, equipment information, and solutions to new problems.
  • Use judgment to determine whether issues can be resolved directly or should be escalated.
  • Review Help Desk ticket data to identify themes, patterns, and improvement opportunities.
  • Serve as a business partner to other departments within Safe and Secure and Technology Services.
  • Escalate issues to vendor partners when necessary.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of experience in technical or physical security technology support.
  • Intermediate skills administering Windows Server, Active Directory, DHCP, and other network services.
  • Experience with CCTV, access control, and alarm monitoring systems.
  • Experience with Genetec, Slack, Confluence, Cisco Meraki appliances, and Jira is a plus.
  • Ability to blend creativity, problem-solving, and technical skills to support end users.
  • Strong customer service experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with remote users via phone or email and troubleshoot issues using remote connectivity tools or without direct access.
  • Understanding of enterprise network environments.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check.
