Description

  • Lead end-to-end payroll processing for the hourly employee population across two U.S. entities.
  • Validate timecards, overtime calculations, and applicable wage and hour rules.
  • Process wages, bonuses, adjustments, and benefit deductions accurately.
  • Review payroll reports and perform detailed audits to identify and resolve discrepancies before finalization.
  • Support payroll processing for exempt employees as backup coverage when needed.
  • Assist with payroll reconciliations and year-end activities such as W-2 review and validation.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
  • Support payroll tax setup and maintenance under the direction of the Payroll Manager.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for hourly employee payroll inquiries and stakeholder questions.
  • Use Workday and related systems to process, audit, and report payroll data.

Requirements

  • 3–4 years of payroll processing experience, preferably supporting multi-state hourly populations.
  • Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll processing, particularly wage and hour compliance.
  • Experience managing hourly payroll populations with complex timekeeping.
  • Strong analytical and reconciliation skills with high attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in payroll systems and HRIS platforms, with Workday preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and a customer service mindset.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience in a multi-entity environment preferred.
