Description

  • Design, develop, and productionize machine learning solutions for document understanding, search and Q&A, GenAI, and virtual agents.
  • Develop and maintain Python backend services for AI-driven applications.
  • Design APIs to integrate AI models and services into product systems.
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders as a machine learning subject matter expert.
  • Own the full ML lifecycle from problem definition through data exploration, feature engineering, training, validation, and deployment.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and quality assurance.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to AI models, integrations, deployments, and backend services.
  • Implement telemetry, A/B testing, and automated validation to measure model effectiveness and robustness.
  • Document development processes, system designs, and architectural decisions.
  • Ensure healthcare data security and HIPAA compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related quantitative field.
  • 4+ years of industry experience with ML solution development and production deployment.
  • Strong grasp of object-oriented programming, design patterns, efficient algorithms, and quality software development.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and familiarity with ML libraries such as PyTorch.
  • Experience with statistical machine learning and AI in NLP, speech, RAG, virtual agents, and/or document processing.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
  • Experience with GenAI services such as OpenAI GPT, Anthropic Claude, or Google Gemma.
  • Experience developing and fine-tuning prompts for GenAI services.
  • Experience working with microservices or API-based application architectures.
  • Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and logical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Good written communication skills for remote collaboration.

Benefits

  • Salary range of $161,600–$202,000 USD in New York, NY.
  • Salary range of $148,400–$185,500 USD in Denver, CO.
  • Salary range of $134,800–$168,500 USD in Charlotte, NC.
