Description

  • Build and maintain automated data workflows and orchestration using Apache Airflow.
  • Use Copilot to generate Airflow DAGs and automation processes.
  • Implement at least two major end-to-end data pipeline projects using Airflow.
  • Design and optimize complex DAGs for scalability, maintainability, and reliability.
  • Create reusable, parameterized, and modular Airflow components such as operators, sensors, and hooks.
  • Monitor, alert on, and log Airflow DAGs to support quick issue resolution.
  • Document workflows, solutions, and processes for knowledge sharing and training.
  • Mentor and support team members in Airflow usage and adoption.
  • Develop reusable frameworks to improve efficiency and scalability across the data ecosystem.
  • Build CI/CD pipelines using reusable frameworks and Jenkins.

Requirements

  • 4–6 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Insurance experience is desirable.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Availability to work in CST or PST time zones.
  • Advanced experience with Apache Airflow, with 5 years preferred.
  • Astronomer experience is a plus.
  • Advanced Python experience, with 4–6 years preferred.
  • Intermediate Snowflake experience is required.
  • Entry-level DBT experience is a plus.
  • Entry-level AWS Glue experience is a plus.
  • Intermediate experience with DynamoDB and Amazon RDS.
  • Intermediate experience with Jenkins.
  • Experience working independently and with strategic thinking.
  • Ability to guide others, explain best practices, and communicate technical decisions.
