Description

  • Support implementation of electric and zero-emission school bus incentive projects.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for incentive processing and technical project inquiries.
  • Manage applicant support, data collection, approved product and vendor lists, applications, agreements, reimbursements, and documentation.
  • Coordinate a seamless joint vehicle and infrastructure application process with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Support alignment among Standard HVIP, ZESBI, the HVIP Public School Bus Set Aside, and EnergIIZE funding mechanisms.
  • Administer the ZESBI application portal with the internal Salesforce team and troubleshoot portal issues.
  • Engage school bus, infrastructure, state agency, and industry stakeholders regarding project implementation and policy.
  • Develop project SOPs, internal controls, contract schedules, and deliverables under the Lead Project Manager’s direction.
  • Provide customer service and explain complex incentive requirements to school districts, applicants, and incentive recipients.
  • Collaborate across CALSTART to help zero-emission school bus and infrastructure projects succeed.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of professional experience, including 2–3 years of project management experience.
  • California or national school bus and/or infrastructure industry knowledge.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Sustainability, Environmental Studies, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to synthesize complex information into clear language for stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage priorities, meet rigorous deadlines, and work with minimal supervision.
  • Experience gathering and analyzing information, proposing solutions, and managing detail-oriented projects.
  • Proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • Experience communicating with agencies, stakeholders, industry representatives, and the public.
  • Preferred: experience designing grant applications, processing incentive applications or reimbursements, using Salesforce, or deploying zero-emission school buses and infrastructure.
