Description

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of a portfolio of strategic R&D programs and projects from problem definition through customer impact.
  • Define program-level objectives, OKRs, scope, resourcing needs, timelines, dependencies, and success metrics.
  • Manage risks, decisions, progress tracking, impact measurement, and health metrics across programs.
  • Partner with leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to surface needs, align on outcomes, and remove obstacles.
  • Facilitate clear problem framing and decision-making to drive progress across complex initiatives.
  • Establish and model Product Operations best practices for planning, prioritization, execution, governance, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Improve cross-functional collaboration and communication by creating shared understanding and alignment.
  • Identify organizational problems and opportunities and define the programs, processes, and tools needed to address them.
  • Launch and oversee core product development lifecycle initiatives spanning the R&D organization.
  • Serve as a leader to the team during periods of uncertainty and change.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of product operations or direct program management experience managing high-complexity, high-visibility, high-impact enterprise-wide programs.
  • Experience leading programs across business and technology topics from problem-space definition to customer impact.
  • Strong understanding of SaaS technologies and product development lifecycles, or demonstrated ability to collaborate with engineering teams on complex technology programs.
  • Ability to assimilate different points of view and create shared understanding across a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills with proven ability to influence without authority, build trust, manage complexity, and drive business results.
  • Experience managing programs in a remote-first environment.
  • Familiarity with change management practices to drive adoption.
  • Strong command of collaboration tooling administration and enablement, such as Jira, Confluence, and automation workflows.
  • B.A. in a business or technical field; M.B.A., P.M.P., or comparable certification is a plus.
  • Authorized to work lawfully in the United States, as Calendly does not provide immigration sponsorship.
  • Candidates located in San Francisco are highly preferred, and the role requires frequent travel to San Francisco for the first 6-12 months (up to 2-3 times a month for several days at a time).
