Description

  • Own AI-powered features from design through deployment in partnership with product, design, and engineering.
  • Define success metrics and scope work for new AI features and products.
  • Apply domain knowledge to answer product-specific questions and document learnings for the team.
  • Prioritize work independently while balancing feature development, quality, and maintenance.
  • Support teammates through pairing, code reviews, and collaborative problem solving.
  • Troubleshoot deployment pipelines, including build, test, and release steps for ML services and data pipelines.
  • Monitor production systems, triage alerts and incidents, and participate in on-call response.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for owned features and services, including data contracts, SLAs, and dependencies.
  • Promote the use and adoption of AI tools across the company.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of industry experience in applied AI/ML and software engineering.
  • Demonstrated experience shipping and operating AI/ML applications in production.
  • Experience designing and implementing GenAI product architecture and systems.
  • Hands-on experience building AI/ML solutions for high-traffic, low-latency, large-data applications.
  • Understanding of foundation models and the open-source AI ecosystem.
  • Experience with model fine-tuning and prompt engineering for real product use cases.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Scala, Java, SQL, or similar languages.
  • Strong data engineering skills.
  • High ownership and ability to drive work to success.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Authorization to work legally in the United States without immigration sponsorship.
  • Preferred: occasional travel for company events, team collaboration, or offsites.

  • Annual base salary range of $198,025 to $287,952 USD, depending on location and experience.
