Description

  • Lead moderately complex warehouse process assessments and convert findings into improvement recommendations and implementation steps.
  • Collaborate with supply chain staff and floor leaders to understand operational challenges and requirements.
  • Facilitate operator and floor-leader workshops and translate outcomes into actionable SOP updates.
  • Develop end-to-end current-state and future-state process maps and identify root causes of bottlenecks and errors.
  • Create SOPs and supporting job aids and partner with training teams to support adoption.
  • Track performance metrics and support audits to ensure SOP compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Provide informal coaching and QA review of junior consultants’ process documentation and SOP drafts.
  • Propose and participate in continuous improvement initiatives for supply chain operations.
  • Travel to client sites up to 50% annually to evaluate operations and review practices in person.
  • Adhere to quality assurance, information security, and other certified process requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field with 3-5 years of relevant experience, or no degree with 5-7 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience owning deliverables and solving moderately complex problems.
  • Demonstrated experience creating and updating SOPs and supporting implementation in warehouse settings.
  • Working proficiency in SAP WM/EWM, with configuration familiarity or functional understanding sufficient to map processes accurately.
  • Experience or exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.
  • Strong facilitation skills and the ability to translate operational and technical concepts into clear SOP language.
  • Sound judgment with the ability to anticipate issues and propose practical solutions.
  • Lean/Six Sigma certification, such as Green Belt, preferred.
  • Prior experience with government customers, such as DLA or DoW, preferred.
