Description

  • Clean, transform, and prepare large, complex healthcare datasets for model development.
  • Identify, collect, and curate relevant datasets for model retraining.
  • Format data for the selected large language model and training pipeline.
  • Design, train, and fine-tune large language models on healthcare data for clinical and operational problems.
  • Set up and manage the training environment, including GPU instances and required software.
  • Optimize training by tuning hyperparameters such as learning rate, batch size, and training epochs.
  • Integrate structured and unstructured data into multi-modal or multi-input models.
  • Evaluate model performance, identify improvement areas, and implement optimization strategies.
  • Develop and maintain scalable data, training, inference, and deployment pipelines.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, clinicians, and software engineers to integrate models and support privacy and security compliance.
  • Maintain clear documentation of models, pipelines, and experimental results.
  • Stay current with advancements in machine learning and healthcare AI and explore new technologies and methods.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or a related quantitative field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Machine Learning Engineering or a similar role.
  • Proven experience with large-scale data preprocessing, LLM/model training, and fine-tuning.
  • Experience with distributed training tools such as PyTorch Distributed, DeepSpeed, Ray, or Hugging Face Accelerate.
  • Experience with GPU/TPU optimization and memory management for large language models.
  • Proficiency in Python and ML libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Pandas, and NumPy.
  • Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, large language models, and deep learning architectures.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP or AWS and distributed computing frameworks such as Spark is a plus.
  • Familiarity with MLOps practices and tools.
  • Experience working with healthcare data is highly desirable.
  • Must be a US Citizen, Green Card holder, or currently in the US with a valid H1B visa.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
