Description

  • Set the technical direction, core architecture, engineering culture, and security posture.
  • Write the first production code and lead end-to-end product and engineering execution.
  • Launch a marketing review prototype with a design partner and deliver communications surveillance, trading oversight, audit-ready reporting, and core modules within 9 months.
  • Expand the platform into regulatory filings and enterprise integrations over 18 months.
  • Own the applied AI/LLM systems, including training, retrieval, deterministic rules, human-in-the-loop workflows, explainability, and reliability.
  • Ensure SOC 2 readiness, tenant isolation, encryption, observability, and audit logging.
  • Represent the venture with customers, investors, and other external stakeholders as its technical voice.
  • Partner with the CEO to convert pilots into 10 paying customers and achieve $1M ARR within 18 months.
  • Recruit and lead the founding engineering and applied AI team and establish company culture.

Requirements

  • Production experience shipping LLM-powered systems where incorrect outputs carried meaningful consequences.
  • Full-stack expertise across applied LLMs, RAG, retrieval, deterministic rules engines, human-in-the-loop workflows, observability, and secure multi-tenant SaaS.
  • Experience with SOC 2 readiness, tenant isolation, encryption, and audit logging.
  • Strong production-based convictions about explainability and reliability engineering.
  • Ability to set technical strategy, make decisions under uncertainty, and own outcomes as a principal-level leader.
  • Prior founder, founding engineer, or early-stage technical leadership experience preferred.
  • Experience in legal tech, RegTech, fintech compliance, healthcare, or another regulated, high-trust industry preferred.
  • Familiarity with U.S. wealth management, SEC and FINRA workflows, marketing review, communications surveillance, and trade monitoring preferred.
  • Experience self-hosting or privately deploying foundation models preferred.
  • Submit a resume, LinkedIn profile, and brief note explaining alignment with the venture.
