Description

  • Own the daily operational cycle for hot, warm, and cold wallet management across supported assets and networks.
  • Define rebalancing thresholds, monitor balances, and execute inter-wallet transfers with appropriate approvals and multi-sig coordination.
  • Maintain operating procedures, escalation paths, and fee reserve management for routine wallet operations.
  • Support regulated-site wallet architecture by documenting custody, segregation, and safeguarding arrangements for licensing and regulatory reviews.
  • Lead the design and implementation of proof of reserves programs, including methodology, data scope, auditor coordination, and publication workflows.
  • Coordinate with engineering, security, legal, compliance, treasury, finance, and product teams on wallet infrastructure, readiness, reconciliation, and reporting.
  • Own wallet-related operational risk management, incident response, audit trails, and 24/7 escalation processes.
  • Recruit, manage, and develop the wallet operations team while setting KPIs, standards, runbooks, and training materials.

Requirements

  • 4–8+ years of experience in digital assets, crypto exchanges, or institutional crypto custody.
  • Strong understanding of blockchain mechanics, including UTXO and account-based models, MPC, HSM, and multi-sig.
  • Hands-on experience with Fireblocks, Copper, BitGo, Ceffu, or similar custody platforms.
  • Familiarity with key ceremony procedures, cold storage operations, and access control frameworks.
  • Exposure to regulated entity requirements such as CMA, MiCA, VARA, or similar, including client asset segregation.
  • Strong SOP writing, incident management, and reconciliation skills.
  • Proven experience managing a small-to-mid-size operations team.
  • Comfort with on-chain data, dashboards, and basic scripting for data pulls; SQL or Python is a plus.
  • Experience supporting licensing applications, audits, and regulatory inspections is preferred.
  • Knowledge of proof of reserves standards and wallet infrastructure security practices is preferred.
