Description

  • Own the full-cycle hiring process across all functions, from creating job descriptions through offer letters.
  • Proactively source and engage candidates through LinkedIn and other inbound and outbound channels.
  • Conduct candidate screens, coordinate interviews, and help close top-tier talent.
  • Partner with hiring managers and leadership to understand hiring needs and build effective sourcing strategies.
  • Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline for current and future roles.
  • Improve recruiting processes to strengthen candidate experience and reduce time-to-hire.
  • Support onboarding, performance processes, compliance, and other lightweight HR operations.
  • Maintain accurate employee data in the HRIS (Workable).
  • Assist with HR documentation, employee engagement coordination, and internal communications.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of experience in HR, people operations, or talent roles, ideally in SaaS, startups, or early-stage companies.
  • Experience building or redefining HR functions from the ground up is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Canadian and U.S. labor laws and employee lifecycle best practices is preferred.
  • Strong ability to manage a large and varied portfolio of HR responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including comfort advising leadership.
  • Confidence presenting to senior stakeholders in person or virtually.
  • A proactive, entrepreneurial, and resourceful mindset.
  • Comfort with outbound recruiting and a hands-on, high-ownership work style.
  • Ability to juggle strategic recruiting and hands-on HR responsibilities in one role.
  • HR certifications or relevant continuing education, such as CHRP, are a plus.
