Description

  • Prospect and generate new business through cold calling, networking, and other lead generation activities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with transportation directors and other decision-makers in the K-12 education sector.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to communicate the value of BusPlanner’s software suite.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to target potential clients and execute outreach strategies.
  • Manage the sales cycle from initial contact through closing and ensure a smooth onboarding process for new customers.
  • Help develop sales systems and processes, including CRM setup and other tracking systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions in the CRM.
  • Stay current on industry trends, competitor activity, and market developments to identify opportunities.
  • Leverage an entrepreneurial mindset to uncover and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Travel to conferences and customer sites across the U.S.

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of proven sales experience in edtech or govtech.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex software solutions clearly and persuasively.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships and provide tailored solutions.
  • Familiarity with the K-12 education sector, especially student transportation, is preferred.
  • Proficiency with CRM software and other sales tools.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing client and market needs.
  • Entrepreneurial drive and motivation to help build a high-performing sales culture.
  • Desire to build and grow a sales organization.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and customer support.
  • Remote work capability with willingness to travel to conferences and customer sites across the U.S.
