Description

  • Lead and develop the Inflight Training team, including managers, instructors, curriculum developers, and support personnel.
  • Provide strategic leadership for Inflight Safety, Training, and Standards while ensuring FAA compliance and strong guest experience standards.
  • Direct inflight training design and delivery across multiple locations.
  • Develop and execute short- and long-term strategy for learning design, training compliance, eLearning, and technology-enabled learning solutions.
  • Ensure regulatory training programs are approved, incorporated into initial, recurrent, and requalification training, and properly recorded.
  • Collaborate with training leaders to maintain consistency across training programs, processes, and products.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for inflight records and training scheduling, including qualification tracking and recordkeeping.
  • Lead audit readiness activities for IOSA, FAA inspections, internal audits, investigations, and corrective actions.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with the FAA and other regulatory agencies on inflight training, safety, and standards matters.
  • Oversee budget, workforce planning, organizational structure, and project expenditures for the inflight training function.

Requirements

  • 4-year degree in Business Administration, Aviation Management, or an equivalent field, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of progressive leadership experience leading large, diverse teams.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Flight Attendant.
  • 2+ years of experience in an Inflight Training leadership role.
  • Experience in adult learning methodologies, professional development, instructional design, and curriculum development.
  • Strong knowledge of FAA regulations, especially Part 121 Inflight, FARs, and FAA guidance.
  • Ability to attend, pass, and maintain Breeze Flight Attendant training.
  • Willingness to travel frequently, up to 25%.
  • Valid passport required.
  • Must pass a DOT pre-employment drug test, TSA fingerprint-based criminal history records check, Breeze background checks, and a ten-year background check.
  • Preferred: knowledge of airline disciplines and their interdependencies on inflight operations.
  • Preferred: knowledge of external agencies such as the FAA, DOT, and TSA as they relate to inflight operations.
  • Preferred: 5+ years of inflight training and/or standards experience.
  • Excellent professional development, coaching, and counseling skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with diverse groups.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously in an entrepreneurial environment and manage multiple priorities under pressure.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work with individuals and teams at all levels of the organization.
