Description

  • Lead stakeholder interviews and discovery workshops to understand goals, workflows, and pain points.
  • Document current- and future-state processes, business rules, data definitions, and edge cases.
  • Break project scope into estimable epics and user stories while identifying risks, dependencies, assumptions, and open questions.
  • Write and maintain Jira user stories with testable acceptance criteria.
  • Partner with Product Managers to prioritize and groom backlogs for two-week sprints.
  • Collaborate with UI/UX designers in Figma to validate user flows and screens.
  • Support engineers during development by clarifying requirements and documenting decisions.
  • Work with QA to translate acceptance criteria into test coverage and coordinate client user acceptance testing.
  • Capture compliance, security, and audit requirements, including SOC 2 considerations.
  • Act as a client point of contact for scope and requirements, communicating tradeoffs and scope changes clearly.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Analyst, or in a similar software-project role.
  • Strong experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Experience leading discovery sessions and converting ambiguous input into structured requirements.
  • Ability to map business processes and model data concepts, including flows, entities, relationships, and rules.
  • Hands-on Jira experience; familiarity with Figma and collaborative documentation tools.
  • Excellent written and spoken English, with confidence leading meetings with U.S. stakeholders.
  • Technical literacy covering APIs, integrations, databases, and system constraints.
  • Experience in an agency, consultancy, or software services environment is preferred.
  • Exposure to regulated or compliance-heavy domains and third-party integrations is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Laravel, React, AWS, and project estimation or proposal work is preferred.
