Description

  • Lead stakeholder interviews and discovery workshops to understand goals, workflows, and pain points.
  • Document current- and future-state processes, business rules, data definitions, and edge cases.
  • Break project scope into estimable epics and user stories for project sizing.
  • Identify and resolve assumptions, risks, dependencies, and open questions.
  • Write user stories and testable acceptance criteria in Jira.
  • Partner with Product Managers to prioritize and groom backlogs for two-week sprints.
  • Collaborate with UI/UX designers in Figma to align user flows and screens with requirements.
  • Support engineers during development and work with QA to ensure acceptance criteria become effective test coverage.
  • Coordinate sprint demonstrations and user acceptance testing with clients.
  • Maintain organized requirements documentation and capture compliance, security, audit, and SOC 2 requirements.
  • Act as a client point of contact, communicate across business and technical audiences, and surface scope changes and tradeoffs.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Analyst, or similar software-project role.
  • Strong experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Experience leading discovery sessions and converting ambiguous input into structured requirements.
  • Proficiency with business-level process mapping and data modeling.
  • Hands-on Jira experience; familiarity with Figma and collaborative documentation tools.
  • Excellent written and spoken English, including experience leading meetings with U.S. stakeholders.
  • Technical literacy for discussing APIs, integrations, databases, and system constraints with engineers.
  • Experience in an agency, consultancy, or software services environment is preferred.
  • Exposure to regulated or compliance-heavy domains, third-party integrations, project estimation, or proposal work is preferred.
  • Familiarity with web application technologies such as Laravel, React, and AWS is preferred.
