Description

  • Manage, maintain, and potentially take full technical ownership of clients’ Magento 2 and WordPress environments.
  • Ensure the stability and reliability of the current Magento instance.
  • Manage WordPress integrations and related platform functionality.
  • Execute seamless deployments while transitioning technical responsibilities.
  • Audit, document, and optimize inherited or legacy codebases.
  • Identify technical debt and improve existing systems where needed.
  • Optimize database performance and caching to support high-traffic applications.
  • Work with REST and GraphQL APIs to integrate Magento and WordPress with external systems.
  • Collaborate on staging-to-production releases and Linux-based server environments.
  • Apply security and compliance practices to protect customer and business data.

Requirements

  • Deep hands-on experience with Magento 2.x, including architecture, EAV models, and UI components.
  • Deep hands-on experience with WordPress, including custom themes, hooks, and plugin development.
  • Strong proficiency in PHP 8.x and object-oriented programming.
  • Solid understanding of Composer and PSR standards.
  • Experience navigating, auditing, and optimizing existing or legacy codebases.
  • Experience optimizing MySQL queries and working with caching layers such as Redis, Varnish, and Elasticsearch.
  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS, SASS/LESS, and JavaScript.
  • Specific experience with Magento frontend technologies such as Knockout.js and RequireJS is a strong plus.
  • Experience with REST/GraphQL APIs and integrating with ERPs, CRMs, or marketing tools.
  • Solid understanding of Git, staging-to-production workflows, and Linux server environments such as Nginx or Apache.
  • Knowledge of PCI compliance, Magento security patching, and WordPress hardening techniques.
  • Adobe Certified Professional (Magento) or a similar certification is preferred.
