Description

  • Manage, maintain, and potentially take full technical ownership of client digital platforms built on Magento 2 and WordPress.
  • Ensure the stability and reliability of the existing Magento instance.
  • Manage WordPress integrations, including custom themes, hooks, and plugin functionality.
  • Execute seamless deployments and support the transition of technical responsibilities.
  • Audit, document, and optimize inherited codebases, including identifying and addressing technical debt.
  • Build and maintain PHP-based solutions using object-oriented practices and modern standards.
  • Optimize database performance and caching for high-traffic e-commerce and content environments.
  • Integrate Magento and WordPress with external systems such as ERPs, CRMs, and marketing tools using APIs.
  • Support staging-to-production workflows and Linux-based server environments.
  • Apply security best practices, including platform hardening and patching, to protect data and customers.

Requirements

  • Deep hands-on experience with Magento 2.x, including architecture, EAV models, and UI components.
  • Strong experience with WordPress custom themes, hooks, and plugin development.
  • Advanced proficiency in PHP 8.x and object-oriented programming.
  • Solid understanding of Composer and PSR standards.
  • Experience optimizing MySQL queries and working with Redis, Varnish, and Elasticsearch.
  • Proficiency with HTML5, CSS (SASS/LESS), and JavaScript.
  • Experience with Magento frontend technologies such as Knockout.js and RequireJS is a significant plus.
  • Experience integrating systems through REST and/or GraphQL APIs.
  • Solid understanding of Git, staging-to-production workflows, and Linux-based servers such as Nginx or Apache.
  • Knowledge of PCI compliance, Magento security patching, and WordPress hardening techniques.
  • Adobe Certified Professional (Magento) or a similar certification is preferred.
