Description

  • Build and maintain production-grade features across the full stack using Ruby on Rails.
  • Design and implement integrations with third-party and external web APIs.
  • Manage PostgreSQL relational databases, including schema design, indexing, and query performance tuning.
  • Write automated tests with Capybara and Playwright to support reliable deployments.
  • Participate in domain modeling and application architecture discussions.
  • Help refine team development practices, workflows, and development standards.
  • Contribute to Go-based performance-critical tasks when needed.
  • Craft front-end experiences using React and JavaScript or TypeScript.
  • Participate in customer interviews and help scope and prioritize work based on user needs.
  • Collaborate across Ruby and JavaScript environments to debug and resolve complex issues.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of production experience with Ruby on Rails.
  • 1+ year of professional experience with Go.
  • 1+ year of experience with React and either JavaScript or TypeScript.
  • Strong proficiency with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
  • Solid understanding of indexes and query optimization.
  • Demonstrated experience with automated testing frameworks.
  • Proven track record of integrating with external web APIs.
  • Experience with Sidekiq or Google Cloud Pub/Sub is preferred.
  • Familiarity with GraphQL is preferred.
  • Experience with Mantine is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Clean Architecture is preferred.
  • Deep understanding of Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Test-Driven Development (TDD), and general design patterns.
  • Ability to debug complex issues across Ruby and JavaScript environments.
