Description

  • Manage, maintain, and potentially take full technical ownership of client Magento 2 and WordPress environments.
  • Ensure the stability and performance of the existing Magento instance.
  • Manage WordPress integrations, customizations, and related content management functionality.
  • Audit, inherit, and optimize existing codebases while identifying and documenting technical debt.
  • Execute seamless deployments and support the transition of technical responsibilities.
  • Optimize database performance, caching, and system responsiveness across the stack.
  • Build and maintain integrations with external ERPs, CRMs, and marketing tools using APIs.
  • Work with staging-to-production workflows and Linux-based server environments.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to deliver high-impact consulting projects.
  • Maintain a security-first approach to platform maintenance, patching, and hardening.

Requirements

  • Deep, hands-on experience with Magento 2.x, including architecture, EAV models, and UI components.
  • Deep, hands-on experience with WordPress, including custom themes, hooks, and plugin development.
  • Strong proficiency in PHP 8.x and object-oriented programming.
  • Solid understanding of Composer and PSR standards.
  • Experience optimizing MySQL queries and working with Redis, Varnish, and Elasticsearch.
  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS with SASS/LESS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with Magento frontend technologies such as Knockout.js and RequireJS is a strong plus.
  • Experience working with REST and GraphQL APIs to integrate external systems.
  • Solid understanding of Git, staging-to-production workflows, and Linux server environments such as Nginx or Apache.
  • Knowledge of PCI compliance, Magento security patching, and WordPress hardening techniques.
  • Ability to inherit, audit, and document legacy codebases and technical debt.
  • Adobe Certified Professional (Magento) or a similar certification is preferred.
