Description

  • Design, build, and maintain low-latency API services and scalable RESTful APIs in AWS.
  • Develop secure multi-tenant environments using PostgreSQL/AuroraDB and Row-Level Security.
  • Integrate applications with external services through SDKs.
  • Write raw SQL and manage database schema migrations.
  • Contribute to frontend development with React when needed.
  • Create and maintain CI/CD applications and workflows.
  • Implement strong testing practices, including integration, database, failure-mode, and fault-injection testing.
  • Collaborate with clients and consultants to deliver high-quality solutions and meet project commitments.
  • Apply best practices and take ownership of deliverables across complex systems.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional, backend-focused software development experience.
  • Strong professional experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
  • Experience building low-latency AWS services and scalable RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL or AuroraDB, including Row-Level Security, raw SQL, and schema migrations.
  • Experience building secure multi-tenant environments and integrating external services through SDKs.
  • Professional experience with React and broader full-stack development.
  • Experience creating and maintaining CI/CD applications.
  • Experience with integration testing against real databases and failure-mode or fault-injection testing.
  • Experience using AI coding assistants in daily development.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; ability to overlap U.S. business hours.
  • Background working with large, complex systems and strong problem-solving, ownership, accountability, attention to detail, and client-focus.
  • Experience with append-only, event-sourced, or bitemporal data models is preferred.
  • Experience with Fastify, schema-first validation such as Zod, AWS Fargate/ECS, or compliance-sensitive domains is preferred.
