Description

  • Own the end-to-end product loop from AI-augmented discovery through specifications, prototypes, production pull requests, and outcome measurement.
  • Manage the product catalog and inventory data surface, including SKUs, variants, bundles, lots, channel synchronization, workflows, and data contracts.
  • Conduct customer discovery and synthesize tickets, interviews, behavioral data, competitive research, and market trends using AI tools.
  • Analyze product metrics, define success measures and kill thresholds, and make rollout-or-kill decisions based on data.
  • Maintain an impact- and speed-ranked roadmap informed by customer, market, and competitive insights.
  • Evaluate proposed solutions against ShipBob’s architecture, service boundaries, data structures, APIs, and data contracts.
  • Write detailed stories and specifications, review AI-generated code, and submit production-ready pull requests.
  • Participate in architecture reviews and make build-versus-buy-versus-defer recommendations.
  • Demo products and prototypes to merchants, partners, and internal teams.
  • Deliver a domain map, first production pull request, and measurable product decision during the first 90 days.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in product management, product engineering, or equivalent, including professional use of AI tools.
  • Ability to write implementation-ready specifications covering state machines, business rules, data contracts, and edge cases.
  • Technical fluency sufficient to read data models, evaluate API contracts, and identify architectural issues in AI-generated code.
  • Track record of shipping working prototypes or production code rather than only mockups or presentations.
  • Demonstrated ownership of product outcomes, including defining and tracking success metrics and kill thresholds.
  • Experience in supply chain, fulfillment, logistics, transportation, or ecommerce technology.
  • Excellent written communication and ability to produce precise product specifications.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, fail-fast environment.
  • Experience with AI development tools such as Claude Code, Driver.ai, Cursor, Replit, V0, or Figma AI is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of TypeScript, React, or Python, and experience with catalog, inventory, multichannel commerce, WMS, or AI-native product operations is preferred.
