Description

  • Design and develop low-latency API services and scalable RESTful APIs in AWS.
  • Build SDK integrations with external services.
  • Develop secure multi-tenant environments using PostgreSQL/AuroraDB and Row-Level Security.
  • Write raw SQL and manage database schema migrations.
  • Contribute to frontend development with React when needed.
  • Create and maintain CI/CD applications and pipelines.
  • Implement strong testing practices, including integration, database, failure-mode, and fault-injection testing.
  • Collaborate with clients and distributed teams while taking ownership of project deliverables.
  • Apply software development best practices across large, complex systems.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional backend-focused software development experience.
  • Strong professional experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
  • Experience building low-latency AWS services and scalable RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with SDK integrations and secure multi-tenant environments.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL/AuroraDB, including Row-Level Security, raw SQL, and schema migrations such as node-postgres or node-pg-migrate.
  • Professional experience with React and full-stack development.
  • Experience with CI/CD and testing against real databases, including fault-injection testing.
  • Experience using AI coding assistants in daily development.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Ability to overlap US business hours and work with substantial, complex systems.
  • Strong ownership, problem-solving, attention to detail, client focus, and adherence to best practices.
  • Preferred: experience with event-sourced or bitemporal data models, Fastify, Zod, AWS Fargate/ECS, or compliance-sensitive domains.
