Description

  • Design and develop low-latency API services and scalable RESTful APIs in AWS.
  • Build secure multi-tenant environments and integrate SDKs with external services.
  • Develop and maintain PostgreSQL/AuroraDB schemas, raw SQL queries, and database migrations.
  • Contribute to full-stack development, including React frontend work when needed.
  • Implement strong testing practices, including integration, database, failure-mode, and fault-injection testing.
  • Create and maintain CI/CD applications and deployment workflows.
  • Collaborate with clients and distributed teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Take ownership and accountability for project deliverables while following engineering best practices.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional, backend-focused software development experience.
  • Strong professional experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
  • Experience building low-latency AWS services and scalable RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL or AuroraDB, including Row-Level Security (RLS).
  • Experience building secure multi-tenant environments and integrating external SDKs.
  • Proficiency with raw SQL and schema migration tools such as node-postgres or node-pg-migrate.
  • Professional React experience and the ability to contribute across the full stack.
  • Experience with integration testing against real databases and fault-injection testing.
  • Experience with CI/CD application creation and maintenance.
  • Experience working with AI coding assistants in daily development.
  • Background working with large, complex systems and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree and availability to overlap US business hours.
  • Preferred: experience with event-sourced, append-only, or bitemporal data models.
  • Preferred: experience with Fastify, Zod or schema-first validation, AWS Fargate/ECS, or compliance-sensitive domains.
  • Strong ownership, attention to detail, client focus, and commitment to team deliverables.
