Description

  • Design and develop backend services and scalable RESTful APIs.
  • Build low-latency services and integrations with external SDKs in AWS.
  • Develop secure, multi-tenant application environments.
  • Work with PostgreSQL/AuroraDB, raw SQL, and database schema migrations.
  • Contribute to frontend development with React when needed.
  • Create and maintain CI/CD applications and pipelines.
  • Implement strong testing practices, including integration, database, fault-injection, and failure-mode testing.
  • Collaborate with clients and distributed teams to deliver high-quality project outcomes.
  • Apply software engineering best practices and take ownership of deliverables.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional, backend-focused software development experience.
  • Strong professional experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
  • Experience building scalable RESTful APIs and low-latency AWS services.
  • Experience with SDK integrations and secure multi-tenant environments.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL or AuroraDB, including Row-Level Security.
  • Proficiency writing raw SQL and managing schema migrations, such as with node-postgres or node-pg-migrate.
  • Professional experience with React and full-stack development.
  • Experience with CI/CD and large, complex systems.
  • Experience using AI coding assistants in daily development.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; ability to overlap US business hours.
  • Preferred: experience with event-sourced or bitemporal data models, Fastify, Zod, AWS Fargate/ECS, or compliance-sensitive domains.
  • Strong ownership, accountability, problem-solving, attention to detail, and client-focused communication.
