Description

  • Build and maintain low-latency API services and scalable RESTful APIs in AWS.
  • Develop backend applications using Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
  • Integrate applications with external services through SDKs.
  • Design and manage secure multi-tenant environments and PostgreSQL/AuroraDB systems.
  • Write raw SQL and manage database schema migrations.
  • Contribute to frontend development with React when needed.
  • Create and maintain CI/CD applications and pipelines.
  • Implement strong testing practices, including database integration and failure-mode testing.
  • Collaborate with clients and consulting teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Take ownership of deliverables while following software development best practices.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional backend-focused software development experience.
  • Strong professional experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
  • Experience building low-latency AWS services and scalable RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with SDK integrations and secure multi-tenant environments.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL/AuroraDB, including Row-Level Security.
  • Proficiency with raw SQL and schema migration tools such as node-postgres or node-pg-migrate.
  • Professional experience with React and full-stack development.
  • Experience testing against real databases and conducting failure-mode or fault-injection testing.
  • Experience with AI coding assistants, CI/CD, and large complex systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree, ability to overlap US business hours, strong problem-solving skills, accountability, client focus, and attention to detail.
  • Experience with append-only, event-sourced, or bitemporal data models is preferred.
  • Experience with Fastify, Zod or schema-first validation, AWS Fargate/ECS, or compliance-sensitive domains is preferred.
