Description

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Python, PySpark, Snowflake, and cloud-native technologies.
  • Build reliable and reusable data ingestion, transformation, and loading processes.
  • Design, build, and optimize Snowflake-based cloud data solutions and data warehouse structures.
  • Implement and manage Snowflake objects such as databases, schemas, tables, views, streams, tasks, stages, and stored procedures.
  • Extract and ingest structured and semi-structured data from REST APIs, relational databases, SaaS applications, flat files, and cloud storage.
  • Develop robust ingestion frameworks and coordinate logical and physical data models with data architects and stakeholders.
  • Support integration between Snowflake and Azure cloud services and help establish data engineering standards and best practices.
  • Implement data quality checks, validation frameworks, monitoring, governance, security, and compliance controls.
  • Monitor and optimize SQL queries, ETL/ELT workloads, warehouse utilization, and pipeline performance to meet SLAs.
  • Maintain documentation for pipelines, transformations, data models, and operational processes, and support production incident resolution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proven experience building end-to-end data pipelines from REST APIs, relational databases, cloud storage, and flat files.
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake features including virtual warehouses, streams, tasks, stages, Snowpipe, secure data sharing, and performance optimization.
  • Advanced SQL skills with the ability to write complex queries and tune performance for large-scale workloads.
  • Experience with dimensional modeling, including star schemas, fact tables, and dimension tables.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and cloud-based data ecosystems.
  • Experience managing source code and CI/CD pipelines using Git and Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, detail-oriented, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of data integration best practices, data governance, and enterprise data management.
  • Preferred: SnowPro, Azure Data Engineer Associate, or similar cloud data platform certifications.
  • Preferred: Experience with big data technologies, machine learning, data science platforms, or advanced analytics.
  • Preferred: Experience with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Preferred: Experience working in Agile delivery frameworks and DevOps practices.
  • Preferred tech stack includes Snowflake, Python/PySpark, SQL, ADLS, Azure Data Factory, Azure Key Vault, Git, Azure DevOps, CI/CD, and Terraform.
