Description

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Python (PySpark), Snowflake, and cloud-native technologies.
  • Build reliable, efficient, and reusable data ingestion, transformation, and loading processes.
  • Design, build, and optimize Snowflake-based cloud data solutions and warehouse architectures.
  • Implement and manage Snowflake objects including databases, schemas, tables, views, streams, tasks, stages, and stored procedures.
  • Extract and ingest structured and semi-structured data from REST APIs, relational databases, SaaS applications, flat files, and cloud storage.
  • Apply dimensional modeling techniques such as star schemas, fact tables, and dimension tables.
  • Collaborate with data architects and stakeholders to create logical and physical data models aligned with business goals.
  • Implement automated data quality controls, validation frameworks, and monitoring processes.
  • Monitor and optimize Snowflake workloads, ETL/ELT processes, and SQL queries to meet SLAs and improve cost efficiency.
  • Support production environments, diagnose pipeline issues, and maintain documentation for data pipelines, models, and operational processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proven experience developing end-to-end data pipelines that extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources.
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake features including virtual warehouses, streams, tasks, stages, Snowpipe, secure data sharing, and performance optimization.
  • Advanced SQL development skills, including writing complex queries and tuning large-scale workloads.
  • Experience with dimensional modeling techniques such as star schemas, fact tables, and dimension tables.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and cloud-based data ecosystems.
  • Experience managing source code and CI/CD pipelines using Git and Azure DevOps or similar tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and detail-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to collaborate in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of data integration best practices, data governance, and enterprise data management.
  • Preferred: SnowPro, Azure Data Engineer Associate, or equivalent cloud data platform certifications.
  • Preferred: Experience with big data technologies, machine learning, data science platforms, or advanced analytics.
  • Preferred: Experience with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Preferred: Experience with Agile delivery frameworks and DevOps practices.
  • Preferred tech stack includes Snowflake, Python/PySpark, SQL, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Data Factory, Azure Key Vault, Git, Azure DevOps, CI/CD, Terraform, REST APIs, and Power BI.
