Description

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Python, PySpark, Snowflake, and cloud-native technologies.
  • Build reliable and reusable data ingestion, transformation, and loading processes.
  • Design, implement, and optimize Snowflake data platform components and cloud data solutions.
  • Manage Snowflake objects such as databases, schemas, tables, views, streams, tasks, stages, and stored procedures.
  • Extract and ingest structured and semi-structured data from REST APIs, databases, SaaS applications, flat files, and cloud storage.
  • Develop robust ingestion frameworks and logical/physical data models aligned with business goals.
  • Collaborate with data architects, analysts, scientists, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical expertise.
  • Implement automated data quality controls, validation frameworks, and monitoring processes.
  • Monitor and optimize Snowflake workloads, ETL/ELT processes, SQL queries, and warehouse utilization for performance and cost efficiency.
  • Support production environments, diagnose pipeline issues, resolve incidents, and maintain documentation for data processes and models.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proven experience developing end-to-end data pipelines across REST APIs, relational databases, cloud storage, and flat files.
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake features including virtual warehouses, streams, tasks, stages, Snowpipe, secure data sharing, and performance optimization.
  • Advanced SQL development skills, including complex queries and performance tuning for large-scale workloads.
  • Experience with dimensional modeling techniques such as star schemas, fact tables, and dimension tables.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure or similar cloud-based data ecosystems.
  • Experience managing source code and CI/CD pipelines with Git and Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and detail-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to collaborate in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Knowledge of data integration best practices, data governance, and enterprise data management.
  • Preferred: SnowPro, Azure Data Engineer Associate, or equivalent cloud data platform certifications.
  • Preferred: Experience with big data technologies, machine learning, data science platforms, or advanced analytics.
  • Preferred: Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI tools.
  • Preferred: Experience with Agile delivery frameworks and DevOps practices.
  • Preferred tech stack includes Snowflake, Python/PySpark, SQL, ADLS, Azure Data Factory, Azure Key Vault, Git, Azure DevOps, CI/CD, Terraform, REST APIs, and Power BI.
