Description

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Python, PySpark, Snowflake, and cloud-native technologies.
  • Build reliable and reusable data ingestion, transformation, and loading processes.
  • Design, build, and optimize modern cloud data solutions on Snowflake.
  • Implement and manage Snowflake objects such as databases, schemas, tables, views, streams, tasks, stages, and stored procedures.
  • Extract and ingest structured and semi-structured data from REST APIs, relational databases, SaaS applications, flat files, and cloud storage.
  • Develop robust ingestion frameworks and dimensional data models for scalable enterprise data warehouses.
  • Collaborate with data architects and stakeholders to define logical and physical data models aligned with business goals.
  • Support integration between Snowflake and Azure cloud services and help establish data engineering standards and best practices.
  • Implement data quality controls, validation frameworks, monitoring processes, and governance/security controls.
  • Monitor and optimize workloads, SQL queries, and ETL/ELT pipelines to meet SLAs and improve performance and cost efficiency.
  • Maintain documentation for pipelines, transformations, data models, and operational processes.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams and support production environments, including incident resolution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proven experience developing end-to-end data pipelines that extract, transform, and load data.
  • Hands-on Snowflake experience with virtual warehouses, streams, tasks, stages, Snowpipe, secure data sharing, and performance optimization.
  • Advanced SQL skills, including complex query development, performance tuning, and large-scale workload optimization.
  • Experience with dimensional modeling, including star schemas, fact tables, and dimension tables.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and cloud-based data ecosystems.
  • Experience using Git and Azure DevOps, or similar tools, for source code management and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and detail-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Knowledge of data integration best practices, data governance, and enterprise data management.
  • SnowPro, Azure Data Engineer Associate, or similar cloud data platform certifications preferred.
  • Experience with big data technologies, machine learning, data science platforms, or advanced analytics preferred.
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI tools preferred.
  • Experience with Agile delivery frameworks and DevOps practices preferred.
  • Preferred stack includes Snowflake, Python/PySpark, SQL, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Data Factory, Azure Key Vault, Git, Azure DevOps, CI/CD, Terraform, REST APIs, and Power BI.
