Description

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Python, PySpark, Snowflake, and cloud-native technologies.
  • Build reliable, efficient, and reusable data ingestion, transformation, and loading processes.
  • Design, build, and optimize cloud data solutions using Snowflake architecture and objects.
  • Implement and manage Snowflake databases, schemas, tables, views, streams, tasks, stages, and stored procedures.
  • Use virtual warehouses, secure data sharing, time travel, and automated scaling to balance performance and cost.
  • Apply dimensional modeling techniques to build scalable enterprise data warehouses.
  • Extract and ingest structured and semi-structured data from REST APIs, relational databases, SaaS apps, flat files, and cloud storage.
  • Collaborate with data architects and stakeholders to create logical and physical data models aligned with business goals.
  • Implement automated data quality controls, validation frameworks, monitoring, and governance practices.
  • Monitor and optimize Snowflake workloads, ETL/ELT processes, SQL queries, and production pipelines; resolve incidents and maintain documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proven experience developing end-to-end data pipelines across REST APIs, relational databases, cloud storage, and flat files.
  • Hands-on Snowflake experience with virtual warehouses, streams, tasks, stages, Snowpipe, secure data sharing, and performance optimization.
  • Advanced SQL skills, including complex query writing, performance tuning, and large-scale workload optimization.
  • Experience with dimensional modeling, including star schemas, fact tables, and dimension tables.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data ecosystems, particularly Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience managing source code and CI/CD pipelines using Git and Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and detail-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to collaborate in a fast-paced environment.
  • Preferred: SnowPro, Azure Data Engineer Associate, or similar cloud data platform certifications.
  • Preferred: Experience with big data technologies, machine learning, data science platforms, or advanced analytics.
  • Preferred: Experience with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Preferred: Experience with Agile delivery frameworks, DevOps practices, and Infrastructure as Code, with Terraform preferred.
  • Preferred tech stack includes Snowflake, Python/PySpark, SQL, ADLS, Azure Data Factory, Azure Key Vault, Git, Azure DevOps, CI/CD, REST APIs, and Power BI.
