Description

Develop and maintain data models for application and reporting databases to support documentation and custom application development.
Monitor the execution and performance of daily data pipelines and triage or escalate issues as needed.
Collaborate with analytics and business teams to improve data models and pipelines that feed business intelligence tools.
Implement processes and systems to monitor data quality and keep production data accurate and available.
Write unit and integration tests, contribute to the engineering wiki, and document work.
Perform data analysis to troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues.
Work within AWS/Linux cloud systems to support data integration solutions.
Collaborate closely with frontend and backend engineers, product managers, and analysts.
Share knowledge and provide visibility into accomplishments while following team directions.

Requirements

3+ years of experience in data pipeline development with tools such as SnapLogic, Datastage, Informatica, or similar.
3+ years of SQL experience; NoSQL experience is a plus.
Experience with AWS services including S3, Athena, EC2, EMR, and Glue.
Ability to solve ongoing issues with operating data clusters.
Experience integrating data from multiple sources.
Experience with database technologies such as SQL Server, Redshift, Postgres, and RDS.
Experience with one or more data integration platforms such as Pentaho Kettle, SnapLogic, Talend OpenStudio, Jitterbit, or Informatica PowerCenter.
Knowledge of best practices and IT operations for always-available services.
Experience with Agile Software Development methodologies or familiarity with Agile.
Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, oral communication, written communication, and customer service skills.
Experience collecting, managing, and reporting on large data stores.
Awareness of data governance and data quality principles.
Strong understanding of business analytics, including basic metric building and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with integration architecture, including data flow diagrams, source-to-target mappings, and data dictionary reports.
Familiarity with web services such as XML, REST, and SOAP.
Experience with Git or similar version control software.
Experience with BI tools such as GoodData, Tableau, or Power BI.
Broad experience with multiple RDBMS such as MS SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Redshift.
Familiarity with SaaS/cloud data systems such as Salesforce.
Knowledge of data warehouse design concepts such as star schemas, change data capture, and denormalization.
Experience with SQL/DDL queries and tuning techniques such as indexing, sorting, and distribution.
BS or MS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
