Description

  • Own the requirements lifecycle across hardware, software, and machine learning components.
  • Maintain requirements traceability from operational concepts through specifications and test cases.
  • Design, document, and execute verification and validation plans for simulated and physical testing.
  • Develop and maintain simulation tools and validation frameworks to assess performance, edge cases, and safety boundaries.
  • Contribute to failure analysis and safety activities, including FMEA, FTA, and HARA.
  • Translate technical concepts across machine learning, embedded software, hardware, and safety teams.
  • Support the full development lifecycle from early testing through field deployment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Robotics, Aerospace, Computer Science, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of post-academic systems engineering experience with safety-critical cyber-physical systems.
  • Proven experience designing, documenting, and executing V&V programs for complex systems.
  • Strong scripting or programming skills in Python, C++, or MATLAB/Simulink for simulation and validation tools.
  • Experience with systems engineering methodologies and requirements management tools such as Jama, DOORS, or Jira.
  • Direct experience with heavy machinery, agricultural equipment, or off-highway autonomous vehicles is preferred.
  • Familiarity with functional safety standards such as ISO 26262, ISO 19014, ISO 21448/SOTIF, or IEC 61508 is preferred.
  • Experience validating machine learning models, perception stacks, or autonomy behavior logic in safety-critical applications is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience managing requirements across software, hardware, vehicle systems, and ODD is preferred.
  • Familiarity with ROS or ROS2 is preferred.
  • Remote work in the United States.
  • Open to visa sponsorship.
